2019 BERGGRUEN PRIZE
The 2019 Berggruen Prize dinner held at the New York Public Library’s Celeste Bartos Forum honored US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for her lifelong work in human rights and gender equality. The evening culminated with a 45-minute conversation led by BBC’s Razia Iqbal, recorded for televised BBC broadcast. A backdrop of a dramatic night sky, shimmering starbursts, tables filled with lush floral arrangements on black mirror and 13-foot fiddle leaf fig trees in a room sprinkled with brilliant flecks of cool-toned light provided an otherworldly setting to celebrate RBG’s larger-than-life achievements.
